Personal Fall Arrest System
Standard SRLs eliminate the slack hazard of a traditional lanyard. The line pays out as the worker moves and instantly retracts to take up slack — so there's never excess line that could contribute to fall distance. When a fall occurs, an inertia-activated braking mechanism locks the drum within 2 feet, arresting the fall before it becomes serious. Required for confined space entry by ladder or fixed structure when a separate lifeline is mandated.
Standard vs 3-Way SRL
Both meet OSHA requirements for confined space. The difference is what happens after a fall — standard SRLs arrest and hold, 3-Way SRLs can also raise and lower for emergency rescue.
